OctoWoW

OctoWoW is a community-run Vanilla+ server that appeared in 2026 as a spiritual successor to Turtle WoW after that project was shut down by court order. It runs on a Turtle WoW-derived 1.12.1 core and continues the custom “Mysteries of Azeroth” storyline, with playable High Elves and Goblins, new race and class combinations, extra professions and updated classic dungeons and raids released in phases. Three realms are offered: N'Zoth (normal PvE), C'Thun (hardcore PvE) and Y'Shaarj (PvP, opened 30 June 2026). The team states it is not the former Turtle WoW staff and keeps contributors anonymous from one another; the project was still labelled beta when Massively Overpowered covered it in June 2026.
