Wallcraft

Wallcraft is a custom Vanilla server on the 1.12.1 client, built on the VMaNGOS core. Its developer brings back content that was cut before the original release, such as the alpha versions of Karazhan and Northrend ported to the 1.12 client, and the server leans towards old-school, harder gameplay. You start with the usual Vanilla races and unlock new ones through progression, including Goblins and Ogres that belong to neither faction. There is a hunger and thirst mechanic, player and guild housing, and two new professions: Inscription, which makes buff scrolls, and Survival, which helps you get through harsh weather with fires, tents and weather-resistant gear. In the hardcore mode, dying sends you back to your hearth and deletes everything you carry. PvP is free-for-all, with a PvE option. The September 2025 update added a reworked faction system with 64 factions to join, and sailing. The public beta has been running since 29 December 2023 and there is no date for a full release. You register on the website and download the client patch there, which was last updated in May 2026. The overview linked from the website says there is no cash shop, but custom housing has been a reward for monthly Patreon supporters during the beta. The server does not publish a player count.
