Project Eclipse

Project Eclipse is a roguelite server in development on the Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a client. Each time you level up you pick one of three augments, from simple stat bonuses to effects that change how your spells work, and you can reroll the offer or banish augments you never want to see again. Killing monsters and finishing quests and dungeons earns Ether for the account-wide Ether Tree, which holds permanent upgrades, loadouts and slots that keep chosen augments when you reset to level 1. In the open world, kills build Insanity: higher ranks make monsters respawn faster, clone themselves, hit harder and roll random affixes, and they pay more Ether. Every ability scales with level, so once a character has reached 80, it keeps its whole kit after a reset. Talents are fully unlocked across a class’s specializations, racial abilities can be picked freely, and legendaries are rebuilt as endgame items with new quest lines. Many bosses have new mechanics or are entirely custom, and raid items can be upgraded. Smaller changes include combo points kept on the player, hunter shots while moving with no ammo, no spell reagents, Death Knights from level 1 and account-wide reputation. An open beta ran for two weeks from 7 August 2026. No release date has been announced, and the website is mostly a placeholder for registering accounts. The Discord had 399 members in October 2026.
