RetroWoW

RetroWoW is a custom Vanilla server on the 1.12.1 client that has been running since January 2015, with one realm, RetroWoW Instant 60. You can level at x3 or have Chromie take you straight to 60, then pick the free Dungeon 2 set or blue starter gear from vendors. Every raid from Onyxia’s Lair, Zul’Gurub and Molten Core to Blackwing Lair, both Ahn’Qiraj raids and Naxxramas is scaled for five players, resets every two days and needs no attunement. Epic vendors sell Tier 1–3 and MC, AQ, BWL and Naxx items for gold, and custom PvE, PvP and raid quests pay out gold, flasks and scrolls. The team says classes, mechanics and item stats are otherwise left Blizzlike. PvP gets a lot of attention: cross-faction battlegrounds with short queues, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 arenas that pay arena tokens, a team deathmatch battleground, gold for kills in the Gurubashi Arena, and monthly kill seasons with rewards for the top three. PvP Season 13 and Arena Season 1 run until 28 October 2026. Transmogrification, daily quests, teleporters, a profession zone and character services are also in. Public chat is English only.
