Lighthaven adds free class changes and crafting artisans

Lighthaven, the WotLK realm with about 2,000 PlayerBots, summed up two months of updates on Reddit on 9 August 2026. Most of them shipped in the weekly patches of July.

Class change

Since the week of 20 July, Gabriella at the Adventure Assistant changes your character's class for free. Only race and class combinations the stock client supports are offered, so a Tauren can become a Druid but not a Mage. The change applies when you log out: your gear is mailed back, and talents and glyphs are reset. Becoming a Death Knight needs level 55, and the Death Knight intro quests are granted properly instead of leaving you in a broken starting area.

Crafting Artisans

Since the week of 6 July, ten artisans in Dalaran craft any recipe of their profession from your materials for a small fee: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Inscription, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Cooking and First Aid. They can also be summoned with .aa, and transmutes and similar crafts have no cooldown.

Raids and arenas with bots

  • Yogg-Saron with no Keepers can now be beaten solo or with a bot raid. Psychosis costs less and fires less often, and Brain Link no longer drains Sanity
  • Bot teams play rated 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5. Before, 5v5 never filled
  • You can reset your bots' raid lockouts
  • Each character picks one of three dungeon scaling profiles: standard, original levels or none

Smaller changes

  • Global chat channels are shared across client languages, so a French, German or Russian client sees the same conversation
  • Restarts wait until every character is saved
  • Gathering rates go up to x10, and boss-kill announcements can be switched off
