Onyxia's Lair opens on Maelstrom a week after Molten Core

Millenium - Maelstrom opened Onyxia's Lair on 2 October 2026, a week after Molten Core opened on 25 September at 20:00 UTC. The two raids make up Tier 1 on the realm, which reached level 60 at the end of August.

How raids work on Maelstrom

• The 40-player Classic raids are adapted for groups of 20
• Raids reset every five days
• Blackwing Lair, Zul'Gurub, Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxramas come later, with no dates yet

The team says the dates after Onyxia will be announced as progression continues. The Burning Crusade starts only after Classic progression "has had its time to breathe", and Wrath of the Lich King follows.

The x5 catch-up for levels 1 to 50 is still on. On Reddit the team had said it would end on 18 September, but the Onyxia announcement says it remains active. Players pick their experience rate in the game.

The realm's website doesn't show how many players are online.
