Season of the Crusade adds Dwarf Shamans and Undead Paladins, then rebuilds four zones

Season of the Crusade had a busy September. The Vanilla server with Burning Crusade class balance added new race and class combinations on 1 September 2026 and rebuilt parts of four zones on 15 September.
New combinations
- Dwarf Shamans, with their own totem models
- Undead Paladins, who ride the Thalassian Charger and can earn new skeletal warhorses
- Troll and Human Druids, with their own druid form textures
- Blood Elf Warriors
Each new pair comes with its own class quests and a story for how it came to be. The owner says the Undead Paladin idea was "shamelessly" taken from Project Epoch. The same patch added two Burning Crusade dungeons in old zones: the Underbog at level 40 in the revamped Swamp of Sorrows, and the Slave Pens at level 50 in Azshara.
Rebuilt zones
These went live on 15 September:
- Sporeggar and the Misty Valley in Swamp of Sorrows
- Nethergarde Keep and Dreadmaul Hold in Blasted Lands
- Area 52 in the Badlands, with zeppelin towers linking it to Gadgetzan and Everlook
- A Cenarion Circle town at Forlorne Ridge in Azshara
The owner calls the update "mostly visual" and says a new raid is planned for Azshara. The server is small. On 25 August the owner described it as "pretty low-pop, so it's definitely a bit of a skeleton crew situation", which is why all raids are scaled down to 10 players.
