About Season of the Crusade
Season of the Crusade plays Vanilla WoW with the classes and systems of The Burning Crusade. It runs on the 2.4.3 client, but the Dark Portal stays closed and the level cap is 60, so everything happens in the old world of Azeroth. The server opened on 19 December 2025 and is hosted in North America. Talent trees follow patch 2.4.3, with 61 points at level 60, and the spells that used to come between levels 61 and 70 are learned while levelling. Blood Elves and Draenei are playable, and on 1 September 2026 new race and class combinations arrived, among them Dwarf Shamans, Undead Paladins, Troll and Human Druids and Blood Elf Warriors. Shamans can also tank as a Warden. Gear works the TBC way, with jewelcrafting, gems, badges and tier tokens whose set bonuses are based on Tier 4 to 6. Raids open in the Vanilla order and are now tuned for 10 players. The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj came out in August 2026, and the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj is next. PvP uses the TBC honor system with arenas and Eye of the Storm instead of the old ranks. Reaching level 60 takes about 30% less experience than in Vanilla. The population is very small: in August 2026 the owner called it a skeleton crew, and the site's counter showed no players online in three checks on 4 October 2026. The owner says there is no store and never will be.
