Alterworld - Ashbound

Ashbound is the upcoming realm of Alterworld, a Hungarian project run by a two-person team. It uses the Cataclysm 4.3.4 client but starts with Vanilla 1.12.1 content and a level cap of 60, then opens The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm in turn. After that it is meant to stay a static 4.3.4 realm. The team describes it as an international, PvE-focused realm. Experience, quest and exploration rates are x2, while drops, gold and professions stay at x1. A public test realm opened on 6 March 2026 and tests the content phases one after another: in early October 2026 it ran TBC content and was online with nobody logged in, while the main realm was still offline. The launch was planned for the second quarter of 2026. That window has passed without a new date, although bug reports were still being closed on the public tracker in September 2026. The website is in English and Hungarian. Its home page advertises a seasonal Combat Pass paid in Essence, whose deluxe edition gives a 20-level head start, but the site has no working shop page yet.
