Athenas WoW - Gadgetzan

Gadgetzan is the Cataclysm realm of Athenas WoW Project, a network for Spanish-speaking players. It runs the 4.3.4 client and has been online since 23 May 2026. The realm started at patch 4.0.6 and opened the later patches in phases, and now all of Cataclysm is available up to Dragon Soul, with the raids at their original pre-nerf difficulty. Rates are x3 for experience, x2 for honor and x1 for professions and reputation. The team has added a lot on top of the original game: companion NPCs that tank, heal or deal damage when a dungeon group is short, the Guardian Trial with 100 waves for one to five players, timewalking dungeons and raids, optional challenge modes such as Hardcore, Iron Man and Self-Crafted, and leveling through battlegrounds or professions. For PvP there are solo-queue arenas for 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5, rated battlegrounds you join on your own, a free-for-all arena, low-level arenas with twink seasons and a High Risk mode in which you lose part of your gear and gold when another player kills you. Dungeons, raids and other PvE content are cross-faction. The shop sells cosmetics, exclusive mounts, normal items and services, while heroic and legendary items stay out of it, and the launch pack with an instant level 85 ended on 1 June 2026. Athenas also plans a Wrath of the Lich King realm with Conquest of Azeroth classes and a Mists of Pandaria realm, both marked as coming soon without a date.
