Fólkvangr’s portal adds offline tasks, rankings and a Discord bot

Fólkvangr, the Splashgame Community’s Vanilla 1.12.1 realm, spent March 2026 building out its web portal at vanilla.splashgame.org. The portal went live in January and was announced on 2 February. By 17 March it did a lot more than manage accounts.

What came in March

• 10 March: Adventure Tasks and Profession Tasks, which send a character on gathering runs or scouting missions while you’re offline. They bring back basic materials, a little gold and now and then a small item
• 10 March: an in-game mail reward every 10 levels from level 10, a tag wall and a reworked vote system. The team also rebuilt the mail link between the game and the portal to close a gold exploit
• 16 March: a Discord bot that announces new characters and answers /players, /realmstats and /seen
• 17 March: PvP rankings, profession rankings, a guild list and a 30-day gold history chart. The statistics page now counts human players and AI bots separately

Inside the game nothing changes: the realm keeps the Vanilla leveling pace and the original class mechanics. The developer describes the portal as a small side system for the time between play sessions, not a replacement for playing.
