Fólkvangr

Fólkvangr is a small Vanilla realm on the 1.12.1 client, run by the Splashgame Community since July 2024. It uses the open-source CMaNGOS Classic core, which the team brought up to CMaNGOS 0.18 in August 2026, merging almost two years of upstream fixes without wiping characters. Rates are x1 across the board and the level cap is 60. The team’s rule is to leave the game itself alone, with no custom classes, talents or gear. Two additions keep a small world going: an auction house bot that keeps trade goods on sale, and AI playerbots, up to four of which can join your party for quests, dungeons and battlegrounds. Each account is locked to one faction, and Horde and Alliance cannot talk to each other. The portal at vanilla.splashgame.org adds a live player map, rankings, realm statistics, a gold lottery and tasks that send a character on gathering or scouting runs for materials and a little gold. Real players are few. In early October 2026 the realm had 211 player characters, six of them at level 60, and up to eight logins a day, while more than 100 bots were online. The game is free and has no shop, and donations go to running costs. The rules ask for English or Danish in global chat. Connect with set realmlist vanilla.splashgame.org.
