InfernoWoW

InfernoWoW turns the 3.3.5 client into a level 60 game set in the Classic world only, without Outland or Northrend, while keeping systems from Wrath of the Lich King. The team has been working on it for more than two years and wrote in May 2026 that release is still quite far, so there is no launch date yet. In the meantime a test realm is open: you register on the website, add the Inferno patch and custom wow.exe to a clean 3.3.5 client, and set the realmlist to logon.infernowow.org. Death Knights are playable and reworked, Shamans get a tank spec called Earth Warden and Priests a holy damage spec called Inquisition. More than 1,500 items are new and over 20,000 have been changed. All Vanilla raids are tuned for 20 players and have heroic versions, dungeons have a Mythic+ mode with a weekly cap, and Ring of Law is an endless five-player PvE mode with leaderboards. The realm is PvE with opt-in world PvP, rates are x1, and there are no heirlooms and no cross-faction groups, although battlegrounds queue across factions. On 4 October 2026 the status box on the website showed 0 players online on the test realm. The store and donation pages need an account, so what they sell could not be checked.
