About Project Alterac (before it closed)

Project Alterac is a fan-made, phased WotLK+ realm on the 3.3.5a client that went live with Phase 1 and its cross-platform launcher on 5 July 2026. Progression is bracketed: each phase lasts three weeks and raises the level cap by ten (20 → 30 → 40 → 50 → 60), with the level 50 phase opening on 5 September 2026 and every later raid tier getting its own phase. Each bracket has an original, fully scripted 10-man raid on a 3-day lockout, selected dungeons return as heroics with new mechanics, and both factions receive new questlines and reputations. All activities are cross-faction, world PvP is an opt-in FFA War Mode, and Death Knights unlock once a character reaches level 20.

Features

  • New questlines and reputations for both factions
  • Fully cross-faction dungeons, raids and battlegrounds
